Celebrate Earth Awareness Month with a BrainPOP Film Festival at your school! Kids of all ages can enjoy our Earth Awareness Spotlight by featuring each of the movies in a film festival, with fun, interactive features before and after each movie! This would make a great kick off activity or a fun-filled culminating event. You can use our Moby Film Festival Tickets to make it a formal affair!

New Spotlight in April - Financial Literacy

Help students build financial literacy skills and come to a better understanding of what they’re hearing about in the news with our Spotlight: Financial Literacy — it’s free throughout April, which happens to be Financial Literacy Month. The Spotlight includes three new movies on banking, budgets, and mortgages. Additional topics include everything from the stock market and taxes to comparing prices and credit cards. BrainPOP Jr. covers dollars and cents, needs and wants, counting coins, and goods and services. The featured quiz, “Mortgages,” and all related Activity Pages are free as well.

Spotlight: Famous Scientists
Introduce Some of the Greatest Minds

In February, BrainPOP casts the “Spotlight”  on Famous Scientists. Explore our new movie and quiz on Thomas Edison and feature such topics as Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, Leonardo da Vinci, Charles Darwin, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, Jane Goodall, Marie Curie, and the Nobel Prize.


Also in February, in honor of Black History Month, BrainPOP’s Spotlight: Black History explores topics from the Underground Railroad, Brown v. Board of Education, and Harlem Renaissance to Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr., Maya Angelou, and more. Be sure your students know the basics of writing a Book Report. Learn more about the classic, Frankenstein, our featured free movie, or the more modern adventures of Harry Potter.   You can explore famous authors from Homer to Kurt Vonnegut, and in BrainPOP Jr., Ezra Jack Keats and Cynthia Rylant. Our Winter & Snow Spotlight will stay available through the end of January as well.
