Huge congratulations to the 12 winners of the First Annual National STEM Video Game Challenge, chosen from among more than 500 entrants! BrainPOP is proud to have served as a founding outreach partner of the competition, which invited middle schoolers to harness their STEM skills and design original video games. Part of the White House “Educate to Innovate” campaign, the contest was headed by the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop and E-Line Media. Find out more about the winners and their entries.
This year’s contest may be over, but you can still use video games to teach STEM skills. Check out our Video Game topic and related lesson plan! You’ll find an array of helpful tips and additional resources.
