Unfortunately scheduled presenter Mike Amante is unavailable to present this afternoon. Though we are disappointed not to hear from him, we are pleased that Lisa Johnson will be joing us instead. Her passion for helping teachers identify the best educational apps has led her to develop “techchef4you,” an app that indexes free educational apps by subject. It’s getting a lot of buzz, because it’s awesome! Lisa will share some of her favorite apps with you, our dedicated BrainPOP educators. Same time, Same place

I learned about so many educational apps from Quizlet such as Flashcards, Scribble Pad, Geometry Pad, Learn, and Test. These are all great apps that will make learning more fun for the students.
Students today love all the brand new high tech gadgets and apps. This webinar was the perfect introduction to great apps to use in the classroom. I hope we will be able to get enough Ipads for all students so we can include these apps into a variety of lessons at my school.
Your webinar was right on time for me. My principal had informed us at our faculty meeting that Monday that our school is getting 20 brand new iPads over the summer. This is the first time we will have access to iPads for teaching. I was in charge of gathering informaiton about apps so that the tech team can download them over the summer. Well, we will now have access to Quizlet, Doodle Buddy, Poplet lite, Puppet Pals, and many more. I sent in a list of about 12 free apps I learned about on the webinar. Thanks Brainpop.
My students love apps. This is a great way for me to find great apps. It is also a great way to get students some info on educational apps without feeling like they dont know what they are looking for.
thanks
I thoroughly enjoyed watching iProductivity in the Classroom from your archived webinars. I am a fifth grade teacher and we introduced ipads into the classroom this year. Your webinar has given me many ideas of new apps to try. I particularly want to check out Quizlet and Geometry ipad. Thanks again!
I will be listening to her radio blog in the future! Very excited about the app ideas she had to offer. My favorite app suggestion was Popplet Lite. I currently use Popplet on my IWB in my classroom and am excited to incorporate the app. I will experiment with having the students simultaneously work in real time using both the IWB and a device such as the iPad/iTouch/iPhone. Thanks for a great webinar!
My students love apps. This is a great way for me to find great educational apps without feeling overwhelmed because there are so many out there!
Thank you for another wonderful webinar! I was unable to download TechChef4u….Any advice? Thank you.
It was fun to see how many different apps there were. Most of them were helpful, but i was looking for more science based ones for middle school. I know many of them help you create lessons and then present. I also would like to see a more in depth presentation on how to use them in a science classroom. Another webinar possibly?
Thanks for the info , i’ve already downloaded TechChef4u and some others. Off to explore them!
Thanks
MC
Thank you for today’s webinar. My school intends on incorporating iPads for Fall 2012 and I’m thrilled! I attended Mobile 2012, so naturally I am ready to go! However, it is also my job, as well as our tech. team, to rally my campus behind the idea. Today I logged onto the webinar during my lunch/prep time and it was apparent to me that this will be an ideal way to get my campus on board! I will be sharing with my administration. You will see us back for more webinars of knowledge! Thanks Andrew and Lisa!
Thanks for a very useful webinar! I am looking forward to trying many of the apps you suggested, and am already thinking of how I will use SnapGuide to create step-by-step guides.
We are still working on getting more ipads into the school so I am very excited to use quizlett more with laptops and scribble press and videolicious as a way to show steps in the process. After playing around more I may be brake to try ibuildapp:)
