The grant writing webinar from last week was a motivator! My district, even though affluent, is always encouraging us to look for funding elsewhere for the little “extras” we want to try with our students. Can’t wait to get back in a few weeks and share this with my regular ed co-teacher to see what we might be able to “cook up”. Thanks!
Writing a good research grant proposal is not easy. After watching this Brainpop webinar, however, I am excited to start my grant writing proposal. The webinar had some great suggestions and references. Thank you!
I found this webinar extremely informative. I am familiar with one of the suggested sources for grants, Donors Choose. I was fortunate this year to write a successful grant receiving funding to take approximately 100 students on a class trip to see the movie “Bully”. The suggestion to have a strong purpose was definitely right and helpful in securing funding for that school project. I want to pursue funding for other projects that will help support the development of STEM projects with a focus of encouraging girls to become interested in MST.
The grant research tool is something I think can help me find what I am looking for.
This webinar shows some great resources for grant writing such as Grant Writer’s Reference, Testimonials, Funding Alignments, and Research. It basically explained that for grant writing you need to work smarter, not harder.
Thanks so very much for joining me on the webinar! I can’t wait to hear about how each of you fund your educational dreams. Please keep me posted on your successes! Here’s to a GREAT school year!
I just watched this archived webinar and have so many ideas swirling in my head about how to go about working smarter and not harder. I have not tried to earn a grant before because it has always been intimidating but you’ve shown a wonderful resource for pulling the required parts together. Gathering the important research to present in a grant is only a portion of the work but these resources should make it much more manageable.
The webinar we had yesterday on grant writing was truly informative and inspiring. I have realized through the years in all my grant writing endeavors that the most essential tool that grant writers should equip themselves with is the ability to keep trying….until they meet a perfect match. Grant writing must be viewed as an opportunity to work hand in hand with common goals in mind, in partnership with an organization that shares the same priorities with you. It is a constant search for possibilities, a journey filled with winning and revisions, a never ending give-and-take, a tremendous sense of achievement to truly make a difference in our students’ lives. Grant writing is a teacher’s bestfriend. All the best to all teacher grant writers out there! Once again, thank you so much BP Educators and Dr. Kari Stubbs for the excellent webinar we had yesterday. Looking forward to more! I heart Brainpop!
@dcoppercobbs sorry that you’re having trouble! You can see the requirements for accessing Blackboard Collaborate at this link:

I hope this helps.
Thank you for motivating me to tap into resources to try to get funding for classroom projects.I’d love to create a mini green house so we can start planting in the winter months. We’ll see what happens!!
Thank you for all the wonderful grant funding resources and BrainPop Research sites. I am novice at grant writing, however, I believe I have a great starting point.
The grant writing process doesn’t seem as confusing anymore! I know where to start now and I’m excited to use the excellent resources that BrainPOP provides.
I have a dream, a big screen TV (and a locking cabinet) so that I can broadcast BrainPOP via the screen rather than on the WhiteBoard where it washes out (can’t turn lights down or out in a detention facility classroom). Now I have resources to help me make that dream come true. Thanks for the info, links, and encouragement.
Thank you for sharing this information about funding. I am excited to check out these resources and submit my first grants.
You provided so much information about grant writing. Thank you for the great resources. I’m looking forward to writing my first grant!
Great presentation. I will work on something each Saturday and hope to receive a grant. Thank you once again!
Excellent overview and presentation of Grant Writing. The resources Brainpop presented in the webinar is invaluable to teachers. Overall awesome.
This was a great overview of the resources you have put together for grant seekers on the BrainPOP site. This webinar was my starting point and I feel I lucked out: the grant application process now seems manageable. Thank you.
Hello BrainPOP:
I am a veteran educator. I enjoy incorporating brainPOP activities into my lesson plans. My students love the website, too.
I would like to take advantage of the wonderful webinars you offer and have signed up for several. However, I am , for some reason, unable to actually access the webinars after registration. Either there is a problem with the link or Blackboard Collaborate links.
I would appreciate any feedback you can provide. I welcome the opportunity to enrich my professional development with the variety of subjects your webinars offer.
Respectfully,
Daryn Copper-Cobbs
