Biz World helps students to set up their own companies by raising capital, designing the product, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. Students can learn real world financial skills through discovery learning activities from Biz World and Brain Pop.

I really enjoyed taking part in this webinar. It is great to see how we can use 21st Century skills to train our children for their future. I come from a financial background and I can’t say enough how complex financial literacy can be. With the help of BrainPOP and BizWorld students can start learning at young age and be better prepared towards a career in, or just for personal benefit, the financial world. The product that really interests me and I hope to be able to use, is BizMovie. Again, teaching financial literacy and instigating future careers!!

Really enjoyed the webinar, my fourth graders already use check books as behavior incentives to earn reward dollars.
The financial literacy brain pop will tie in great with our Everyday Math program

This webinar provided me with useful information on the use of real world math concepts that students need to learn. The math concepts in the program are definitely in alignment with state and common core standards. I have many ideas on the infusion of math and technology that help meet learning standards into my course curriculum thanks to this webinar. The first idea I want to try is to work on a biz movie project with my students.

Thanks for presenting such a useful and timely webinar.

If you’re looking for a way to get students engaged and learning real world skills (especially incorporating STEM into your teaching) you need to check out this webinar. BizWorld has a variety of options for your class to engage in projects that promote real world skills such as balancing a ledger, marketing/advertising, budgeting and obtaining loans, and more! There are even resources for ELLs and SWD. I’m already thinking about how I could use this with my students.

Thank you so much. There is a lot to think about. I am very interested in using this program in an after school club. I will have to work out the details.

First time I had heard about this program; especially liked Biz Movie! As an inclusion teacher my students don’t necessarily “shine” in academics but are a very creative group. I can see this being put to good use with my new students this year. Thanks again!

Thanks for all that information on sources to teach economics to young people. I look forward to using the business aspects and investment practices to educate my sixth graders in economics. I’m sure they will be engaged, learn needed information, and retain the information because they will be able to relate to it. I am able to better teach economics and cover my state standards/common core! This is a win-win program.

I am an elementary school teacher and the children have a hard time understanding economics at such an early age. I definitely plan on utilizing Biz World to access lesson plans in economics. Thanks. Please email me a certificate.
