So much good information was given in your BrainPop Overview – Ring in 2012 webinar that I am having trouble deciding what to do first! Since I teach kindergarten through 3rd grade computers I really appreciate learning about all the different things available to me in BrainPop JR. I am looking forward to enriching my classes with Brain Pop! I will also be sharing this information with the other teachers.

Thanks so much Carrie. I learned more in an hour than I have with five years of just mucking around BrainPop at school. So excited to try new things such as GameUp and the quiz mixer. Had no idea that my Promethean clickers would work with the quizzes! Had to watch this archived due to time issues. Is there a way that I can still receive credit?

This was a great refresher webinar. As we are 14 hours ahead in Korea, several of us go together and watched it in “archived” mode. I might have mentioned this in a previous post, but I still LOVE the giant word wall found in BrainPop Jr. It’s a great foundation for a classroom word wall for a new teacher who doesn’t have all their classroom “flair” built up yet!

Thank you for the web class. I got more excited to use the program as we went along. My hope is to make BrainPop Jr. a station for the children to use during reading group time. I also like the ability to use it with my SmartBOARD for a whole class introduction to a topic. I can see many uses for the activities in many different subject areas.

Brainpop has so many great learning tools that I can use such as movies, closed captioning, quizzes, lesson plans, and games. Lots of great things that help make learning more fun for students.

I really appreciated all the tips about ways to assess the retention of content from the movies. Especially like the further reading suggestions that I had never noticed before on Brainpop Jr.

I enjoyed learning how to make your own quiz. Would be curious if this will ever work with Mimio. Also would you consider adding books to supplement for the older kids. I am so greatful that I found Brainpop!!

I really like the close caption option. My son has problems reading and this is a nice helpful tool. I also like the quizzes that help to reinforce the newly learned information. I like the fact that there is one that will not let you continue until you get the right answer and one that will. Great ways of learning. Thank you.

I enjoyed your overview of both BrainPop and BrainPop Jr.
I am currently not teaching, but I am interested in using it at home with my son, as a reinforcement of what is being studied at school, and also as an alternative to other games.
I love the educational videos with close captioning and an option of a self-check quiz.

I would love to see more lesson for foreign language instruction.

    Thank you.

This was a very useful introduction that saved me a lot of time finding my way around the site. I appreciate that you also have a français brainpop site. I like the graphic organisers, the closed caption and the FYI for differentiated learning. Thank you.

Our hearing impaired students will benefit from the closed captioning feature on the movies. I plan to check out the lesson plans.

I have been using BrainPop Jr. this year with students and they do a good job learning. I concentrate more on the movie, but now I will use more of the extensions. Great overview!

This is my first Webinar – even though I’ve been using BrainPop and BrainPop Educator since the beginning of the school year – I learned some new things. I teach low/struggling readers in 5th and 6th grade and I am extremely excited about using Draw About It and the Word Wall with them. I am hoping that the motivation and seeing vocabulary on a “different” background will help them become stronger readers. I also plan on sharing the teacher created quizzes with my teammates – we’re blessed to be in a 1:1 district – finding new resources is difficult at times, so hopefully this will give them another resource that they can personalize and make their own.

Thanks for the overview – I am excited to work with the teachers in my district to encourage more use of BrainPOP.
