Webinar Alert: From Alaska and the Iditarod Trail … To You!
Thursday, February 21st at 3:00 PM ET- From Alaska and the Iditarod Trail … To You!
Put on your virtual “mukluks,” zip up the parka, and join us on an experiential learning adventure along the Iditarod Trail. Diane Johnson, Iditarod Education Director and race staff member, shares the breadth of lessons and activities available on the teachers section of the Iditarod web site (www.iditarod.com/teachers). Aligned to national standards and the Common Core, they’re designed to help learners experience the event in real time.
Students will enjoy experiencing science adventures in real time. Many great activities on here will help students be more engaged in learning about science.
This was a wonderful webinar. I had been exploring the Iditarod website on my own but had completely missed the educator resources. This will be a huge help as I am starting this unit on Monday. My students will be very excited with all the cool science activities that Diane pointed out. Thank you for all the hard work that went into the educator portion of this incredible website!
