Great resources to help students with their social and emotional growth as people. As a Pre-K teacher, I find this very useful.

This presentation really encouraged me to be more aware and sensitive to the diversity among social/emotional needs of my students. I enjoyed the part about how important it is to change language techniques to better reach students. Great presentation.

I find the social aspects of learning especially helpful; it is always a challenge for the autistic children in my program.

Social and Emotional Aspects are the probably the ones of the most important apects for students learning. They complete the learning process of the students escpecially in middle school.

I felt Tamara offered a lot of useful information. I am excited to go online and check out this program. I teach Junior Kindergartent but for the past 6 years I have been tutoring an autistic boy who is now in 7th grade. I will definitely be telling the family about this, as we are always working on social skills.

As a Middle School Special Educator Teacher I found the webinar helpful with using Common Core standards to be applied with Social Skills. Always looking for ways for students to enhance students social/emotions skills. Sounds like a successful program at Social Express. Thanks Tamara and Marc.

This was the first time I had heard of The Social Express. It sounds like a great resource and tool and has peaked my interest to further research the site. Their approach to the philosophy of learning is spot on incorporating the Arts and social learning.

This webinar seemed to be a bit unorganized. There was of missing and I was disapointed when we were unable to log into the Social Express site and see it up close. I’ll have to sign up for the free trial that is offered I guess. Quite honestly I didn’t really learn much. All the things discussed such as Bloom’s taxonomy and how students with disabilities can often become social outcasts I already knew.

Our apologies for the technical difficulties! Unfortunately, technology doesn’t always work properly when we need it to :( We really appreciate your honest feedback. Be sure to take advantage of the Social Express’s trial to get a closer look at their resources.

As a special education middle school teacher it is so important to have a resource to refer to. Some children are borderline on the spectrum and and it is most obvious recognizing the lack of social skills and understand how to relate the material into a social friendly learning application.Being a Math teacher is difficult because many programs don’t approach that domain. I can certainly use this in my reteach class where we go over all all core subjects. Thank you,

This was meant to be my comment, but somehow it posted under rblitz.
As a middle school teacher the social and emotional aspect are extremely important. They are part of the four main areas of concern for all middle school students – PIES – physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth. They affect the climate of the classroom, the ability of the student to learn, and the outcome of these formative years.

Very interesting, especially about using all the different senses for trying to connect to achieve learning.
