BrainPOP Heads to UNESCO Mobile Learning Week

Posted by cemignano on

It’s UNESCO Mobile Learning Week and to celebrate, teachers from around the world will be meeting in Paris to share how they’re using mobile technology in their classrooms. This international event will include 80 breakout presentations, 50+ countries officially represented, 30+ exhibitions, and 5 panel discussions with influential educators and innovators. We’re thrilled to share that BrainPOP will be represented at the event by Dr. Kari Stubbs who will be speaking on an interactive panel discussing the developing teacher capacity to innovate and adapt for mobile learning. This panel, including,  Julie Evans (Project Tomorrow), Shelley Shott (Intel), and Sashwati Banerjee (Sesame Workshop, India), will address the many challenges educators encounter while attempting to effectively utilize mobile technology in formal and informal learning environments.

To wrap up Mobile Learning Week, UNESCO will be releasing a summary of findings from the meeting on its website as well as a formal publication. Interested in following along virtually? Check out @UNESCOICTs on Twitter to be kept in the loop on the highlights from the event.
