Hi Kathy,

I was so happy to read your email! I know how frustrating it can be for students AND teachers when we have newcomers who don't know any English. I love how BrainPOP ESL is a good resource for you, and your student is enjoying it. Keep up the good work, and keep us posted!

I just got a new NES student from the Ivory Coast. We tried the first lesson, and she loved it. "I like computer." Our only criticism is that in the test, it is very difficult to understand the speaker when he says, "He is tall." It sounds more like, "She is tall." Both my student and I thought he said she, and we listened to it several times. Perhaps the pictures could be changed to help the students choose the correct answer.
Again, thanks for BrainPop ESL! I use BrainPop and BrainPop Jr. with my ESL students anyway, but your new product is perfect for beginners!
