Webinar Alert: Special Tactics for Adapting Resourceful Tools

START: Special Tactics for Adapting Resourceful Tools
Wednesday, May 12
*6:30 PM EDT
Duration: 1 Hour
Students with special needs don’t always get the same chance to use web 2.0 tools. Irving, however, provides many different opportunities to help all students to engage in the same web 2.0 tools as their non-disabled peers. Andrea Keller, of Stipes Elementary in Irving, TX, will talk about using BrainPOP Jr., video conferencing, podcast, and other multimedia resources to increase the curriculum for verbal and non-verbal students.

Great Training Session. Very informative for the regular classroom as well. Many of the items discussed would work for Inclusion classroom.
This was a very interesting webinar. I am new to this; this is the first one I have attended “live.” I did watch an archived one earlier this afternoon and it was very good as well. Thank you. I will be back.

great webinar – lots and lots of useful information
I really enjoyed this webinar. I thought that the classroom activities shared were very helpful. I work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and pre-teaching vocabulary and providing opportunities for students to practice using new vocabulary is a must. I liked the idea for classroom books and individual student books. I also liked to see how the technology is used in the classroom. Thanks!
This workshop was eye opening for using technology with my limited to nonverbal students. I can’t wait to explore the resources that were issued during the webinar.
Thank you so much Allysyn for this webinar. I work as a science cluster teacher in a program for autistic students. They are in love with Moby and really pay attention to the videos and games. Andreas ideas were fabulous.
Look forward to more BrainPOP for Special educators features.
Please send confirmation of attendance at webinar.
Thanx
This was a great webinar! Please email me a certificate if possible… Brainpop is a great website.
I love using Brainpop jr to help my kids interact with learning. It definitely works well for my identified and non-identified students. This information about video conferencing and podcasts looks great for kids. However, I find it difficult to do things of this nature with my kindergarten students because our schedule is so limited (half day). Thank you for providing these professional development opportunities at the click of the mouse!
Wow! What an incredible response! Thanks so much to Andrea, for sharing such useful information. And a huge thanks to all of you for keeping our conversation going. Here is the link to last night’s webinar: http://tinyurl.com/35hpwux.
I’ve also started up a group on LearnCentral: BrainPOP for Special Ed Educators. Please join and let’s keep this going!

Wonderful webinar. I plan to use much of what I learned in my summer school program. I also plan to use the information I learned to make a lesson last a week. Please send me a certificate of participation. Thank you,
Thanks…I received lots of great ideas!
I love using brain pop for science. My student asks for it all the time. I did attend the summer school webinar but never received a certificate of attendance and I did submit a comment on the blog. Can someone please send me a certificate for professional development credit?
Thank you,
