Educator Resources for Square Off

In Square Off, students use their knowledge of area and perimeter to capture as many alien spaceships as possible. The greater the area surrounded, the more points they earn. Guide students to realize that more points are earned for a square than any rectangle with the same perimeter, and talk with them about the relationship between perimeter and area that they experienced during game play.
