Educator Resources for Win The White House
In Win the White House, students get to manage their very own presidential campaign. They will be tasked with choosing their signature issues, strategically raising funds, polling voters, launching media campaigns, and making personal appearances. Guide students to keep a close eye on the map as they battle over electoral votes and popular support.
In this lesson plan, which is adaptable for grades 3-12, students use BrainPOP Jr. and/or BrainPOP resources to explore the electoral process, including primary and general elections and the Electoral College. Students use an online game to identify the influence of the media in forming public opinion and participate in a simulation of the election process. This lesson plan is aligned to Common Core State Standards. See more »
