Solar System

Our Solar System is the group of planets, moons, and other bodies (such as asteroids and comets) that orbit, or go around, the Sun. In this movie, you’ll learn about the planets in the inner Solar System: Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. You'll find out which planet is known as the red planet and which is known as the blue planet. You'll also learn about the planets in the outer Solar System: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Find out which planets are the gas giants and which planets are the ice giants. But, is Pluto a planet? Watch the movie to find out!

Solar System Lesson Plan: Making Mobiles

In this lesson plan, which is adaptable for grades K-5, students use BrainPOP Jr. and/or BrainPOP resources to learn which planets are part of the inner solar system and which are part of the outer solar system.
