September 11th

On September 11th, 2001 the course of American history changed forever. In this BrainPOP movie, Tim and Moby will explain just what happened on that fateful day. You’ll first hear a basic timeline of major events that occurred that morning. Tim and Moby will also talk a little bit about terrorism and the underlying causes of this terrible tragedy. In particular, you’ll learn about a network called al Qaeda, and discover what a man named Osama bin Laden had to do with it all. You’ll also find out what happened in the aftermath of 9/11, and how people came together to start rebuilding. Understanding September 11th Lesson Plan: A Collaborative Project

In this lesson plan, which is adaptable for grades 3-12, students use BrainPOP resources to gain a deeper understanding of the events related to September 11th. Students analyze related statistics and commemorate the heroes of September 11th by representing the data analyzed with a creative collaborative project. U.S. History Lesson Plan: Exploring Cause and Effect

In this lesson plan, which is adaptable for grades 3-12, students select two topics in United States history and use BrainPOP resources to explore the relationship between those topics. Students will work collaboratively to determine the cause and effect relationships and present their research to the class in a creative format of their choice.
