Educator Resources for Ayiti: The Cost of Life

Play Game

This strategy game challenges students to manage a family of five in rural Haiti and keep them all healthy, educated and out of debt. Students will be required to manage resources, maintain a budget, and plan for the future. They will also gain global perspective and reflect on how access to education varies around the world. Your students may even be inspired to learn that Ayiti was conceived of and produced by students. We suggest that you preview this game in advance as it deals with serious topics, including poverty, disease, and death.
