Educator Resources for Cell Command
In Cell Command, students embark on a series of exciting missions aboard a microscopic cell ship. They begin by operating the ribosome station, but as game play continues, they’ll simultaneously command all the ship’s functions (duplication, membrane, mitochondria, and golgi complex.) Successfully completing missions (such as mitigating the cellular crises that emerge when wounds need healing or muscles need flexing) earns “cell experience” that allows students to upgrade their cell ship, their skills as commander, and the skills of their crew.

Animal Cells Lesson Plan: The Cell Command Game
Grades: 6-12
In this lesson plan which is adaptable for grades 6 through 12, students use BrainPOP resources to identify the parts of an animal cell. Students will describe what happens to food and energy when it enters the cell and use an interactive game to explore cell structures virtually.
