All around the country, the first day of school is coming! How are you using BrainPOP to help establish classroom culture and routines during the first few weeks of school?

When I was a technology integrator, there were a number of BrainPOP videos I could have used to help establish shared understandings for how to behave online. For example, the entire “digital citizenship” spotlight has 12 topics that cover areas from online interaction to cyber-bullying to citation of online sources. I always had kids thinking about these things, and these videos would have been fantastic entry points for conversation.

Hello Andrew, Thanks so much to you and the team for such a great webinar ” Back to School First 6 weeks! Many great ideas to refresh and start the new school year feeling ready. I really liked the Math Wall idea- but the one that really excited me was the reminder to focus on the positive- reward what you want to see And then I will be using the Parent & Student Expectation sheet to help everyone work as a team so that ” growth mindset” hardwork = growing as a learner- Me included! I really apreciated being able to view the archive because a last minute school meeting had me miss the original. Warm regards and thanks for all the ideas and help. Maria
