BrainPOP is pretty great just the way it is, but there is always room for improvement and we love your suggestions! Though we can’t follow through on every single idea, it’s great to collect them in one place. So here it is, tell us your thoughts, your hopes, your dreams. . . . you never know what we may develop!

I homeschool my 8yo son and 4yo grandson. Like most kids they love “instant gratification” and this is what I came up with.

7′ X 2′ butcher paper pinned to wall

Print and cut subject headings (number sense, american history, etc.) I used a program called skitch and made them each about 1.5″ x 4″

Print and cut the topics for each subject. Again, I used skitch and made them about 1.5″ x 1.5″ they’re a lot of them!

Glue the subject headings onto the butcher paper and mark spots below each one for each “topic badge” to go on to when earned (I used acrylic paint and a 1″ circular shaped sponge) so for example the subject “number sense” would have 5 circles under it.

When the boys complete a topic (i.e. watch movie, complete assignments and pass the quizes) they earn the badge and glue it on top of the color circle under the subject it goes to.

When they complete all the badges under a subject they move on to “trophy” mode which I havent quite figured out yet but Ive got hundreds of blank cd’s and im thinking about some kind of “Moby’s Memory Bank” wall I’m not sure yet
