In reply to: brlewis posted an update in the group BrainPOP Beta Testers I would also like to see game up have games on cyber bully and internet safety or business related games. ViewWe’re looking at some right now! Check out Common Sense Media’s Digital Passport for games on digital citizenship: http://www.digitalpassport.org. Have you played Budget Hero on GameUp? There’s also a game called Spent that you might be interested in: http://playspent.org/

In reply to: allisyn posted an update in the group BrainPOP Beta Testers Hi Beta Testers! Right now, we’re looking for feedback on GameUp. In expanding the games we offer on GameUp, we’re considering offering games on Unity […] ViewYeah, that’s a good point, Robert. It’s tricky – we want to bring the best out there to teachers, and some really exciting stuff is being created through Unity or Shockwave, but we want to keep the barrier low so teachers can jump right in. We appreciate your feedback – thanks!

In reply to: brlewis posted an update in the group BrainPOP Beta Testers I don’t mind downloads. Students should not have to give out email addresses to log in or download. My students have written many reviews of the games […] ViewThanks for the feedback. Sounds like a very cool project! Any interest in writing a guest blog post about it? I bet other teachers would be interested in thinking about coming at GameUp from a different angle like that. Smart!

I think most districts or IT departments push the updates and features of software to the end users. Many teachers do not have admin rights to update or download to their devices. It is very frustrating to find a feature or game and then be hit with the need to put in a request that could take days of approval process.
Yeah, that’s a good point, Robert. It’s tricky – we want to bring the best out there to teachers, and some really exciting stuff is being created through Unity or Shockwave, but we want to keep the barrier low so teachers can jump right in. We appreciate your feedback – thanks!
