You can assess what students learned though Multiplication Blocks game play in several ways:

  • Talk with them about their strategies (or have students write a written reflection in their math journals. Sample prompts include: What mental math strategies did you use during the game? How did you increase your score as you re-played the game?For which products did you have the hardest time finding factors? Which were the easiest? Why?
  • Allow students to take the game quiz.

  • Have students record their score in Multiplication Blocks each time they play, and track or graph their progress over time.
