Submit an original lesson plan that uses BrainPOP or BrainPOP Jr. election resources and you’ll be eligible to win prizes!
What: Submit an original lesson plan that utilizes our election resources. A substantial part of the lesson should highlight your creative use of BrainPOP or BrainPOP Jr. in relation to the election process.
Prizes: First-place winners (2) will each receive a BrainPOP School Combo subscription (which includes BrainPOP, BrainPOP Jr., and BrainPOP Español) and a class set of the BrainPOP Science Almanac. Second-place winners (2) will each receive a BrainPOP Lab Combo subscription and a class set of the BrainPOP Science Almanac. Third place winners (2) will each receive a BrainPOP Classroom Combo subscription. Please note: All subscription prizes may be applied to extend an existing BrainPOP subscription.
How: All lessons must be submitted electronically, using BrainPOP Educator’s Lesson Plan Submission Form. You must be registered on BrainPOP Educators to submit a lesson plan, and you must agree to the BrainPOP Educators’ User Agreement and the Terms below. Many lesson plans will be published on BrainPOP Educators, but only 6 published lessons will win prizes.
Who: The Contest is open to all registered users of BrainPOP Educators. There is no fee to enter the Elections ’08: Lesson Plan Contest. No purchase necessary.
When: Contest entries will be accepted between 12:00 AM (EST) August 15, 2008, and 11:59 PM (EST) September 30, 2008. Winners will be announced on or before October 15, 2008.
TERMS: Lesson plan entries will be judged by quality and creativity. All decisions regarding winners are final. Winners will be notified by email after the judges have reviewed all submissions. Restrictions: By participating in the Contest, you agree to be bound by these rules. U.S. residents age 18 or over can enter, except employees or agents of FWD Media, Inc., or any of its affiliates. FWD Media, Inc. reserves the right to terminate or modify any submission not capable of completion as planned. No more than one prize will be awarded to any participant. Please note that if the winner is a group, then the group will share the above-stated prize. Winners will be responsible for any applicable taxes. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned, and become property of FWD Media, Inc. Except where prohibited, acceptance of the prize constitutes consent to use winner’s name, location, school, likeness, and winning entry for editorial, advertising, and publicity purposes, without further compensation.
