Hey there!

Reflection is when light bounces off of an object, like a mirror. Refraction is when light becomes slightly distorted as it moves between media—like when it moves from air into water, or when it passes through a clear piece of glass. Light even refracts in the atmosphere, when it passes from thinner air to denser air!
