How New York City Schools Can Subscribe to BrainPOP Through FAMIS


FAMIS (Facilities Asset Management Information System) is a service for New York City based schools offered through the Department of Education. Educators in these schools can use the FAMIS system to subscribe to BrainPOP for their classrooms, labs and schools.

Below are some helpful guidelines for subscribing to BrainPOP through FAMIS:
  1. Log into FAMIS at the FAMIS Login Portal.
  2. Select Purchasing from the menu on the left, then select Contracted.
  3. Under Contracted, choose E-Catalog, the Computer Software.
  4. Click Recalculate to bring up your FAMIS information, then click Next.
  5. Search by Vendor Name (BrainPOP) or Vendor Number (BRA013000).
  6. Choose the BrainPOP subscription(s) you wish to purchase, and add them to your cart. When you are done, click Proceed to Check Out.
  7. On the Cart page, review you order and when ready, click Check Out.
  8. IMPORTANT: When entering in Deliver To options, be sure to include the following in the Special Delivery Instructions field so that this information can be transmitted to the Subscriber Relations team at BrainPOP:
    • An email address to use for contact
    • Your desired username and password for BrainPOP (This username and password will be used by everyone who is going to use the account)
    • If you are renewing a subscription, indicate that it is a renewal in the Special Delivery Instruction box along with your current username and password.
