    We are writing to you in connection with our school’s new online learning resource – BrainPOP – a cross-curriculum, interactive online teaching and learning website that we would like to use in lessons, projects, homework, assessments, and more. We refer to this as the BrainPOP learning platform in this letter. The BrainPOP learning platform includes learning videos, quizzes, and concept maps to enhance your child’s learning and understanding of the subjects we cover in class.

    As parent or guardian, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your child’s personal information in accordance with the below Privacy Collection Statement and BrainPOP’s Privacy Policy, available on BrainPOP’s website at https://www.brainpop.com/about/privacy_policy/.

    You agree to BrainPOP collecting personal information from the school or school board in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Privacy Collection Statement, that the school or school board may disclose this information to BrainPOP, and that the school board and school may in turn collect student data from BrainPOP and the BrainPOP website and applications.

    You confirm that you are authorised to provide consent on behalf of your child.

    Privacy Collection Statement:


    BrainPOP LLC is collecting your child’s personal information for the purposes of providing your child with access to BrainPOP’s learning platform. We may also collect information about your child for this purpose from your child’s school or teachers. If you do not provide us with your child’s personal information we may not be able to provide you with access to our products. If you have consented, or if otherwise permitted by law, we may also use your personal information to send you newsletters, promotional offerings or surveys. We may disclose your information to our partners, business affiliates and third party service providers who provide hosting services, streaming services and credit card processing including to third parties located overseas including in the United States.
