Using BrainPOP as a springboard in Elko County School District, NV

This year, [with my intervention grouping], I asked myself, ‘How am I going to use this to connect to their reading?’ I found it was a great way to improve their comprehension and understanding of the reading….The kids love it and don't get bored of it.

I have a lot of English Learners and students from low socioeconomic status backgrounds…I try to give them every opportunity for exposure to new concepts, and BrainPOP provides that opportunity.

BrainPOP is great for small groups. I can assign different kids different lessons…BrainPOP allows them to all look like they're doing the same work, but it's differentiated to target their specific needs.
