BrainPOP helps to make abstract concepts more concrete, builds academic vocabulary, and presents information in a way that connects with students. For our multilingual learners, the animation lowers the affective filter and provides students with multiple exposures to new vocabulary.

I use it weekly—if not daily—to introduce, reinforce, and review what I am teaching. Often, the characters say things in a slightly different way than I do that sticks with students. The visuals help students remember things, as well. It is also a great way to provide extra info for those students who are ready for a challenge.
